Easy to put on without even taking off the exhaust

Easy to put on without even taking off the exhaust. Follow the instructions and even view a you-tube . Start from the back and work your way to the front. You will get it. I do recommend wearing nitrile or latex gloves. There is fiberglass in the mesh and if you don't, you will know it later. I have ridden a few times but with cooler weather haven't noticed much difference. I needed some insulation from the exhaust out-take from feeling up the right side of my seat. Seems to be a cheap option…

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Not suitable for off-road riding conditions

This installation is worth its weight in gold

I ride a Honda Shadow 1100 and the exhaust pipes even with the shields on we're getting too hot for me. I actually melted a plastic zipper on one of my boots against the front pipe. It was very easy to install this exhaust insulation and what a difference it has made. You can pretty much lay your hand on this insulation with a hot exhaust and not get burned although it does get hot. Not nearly as hot as before I installed this. I put my heat shields back on the pipes and now this motorcycle is…

Pros
  • Received as advertised and as scheduled
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remove

OK, but spend some more and get a better product.

Overall, an OK product. The one down-side is there is no additional stitching to help keep the material together on the edges. Like all of these wraps it frays pretty easily when unrolling. Also it should not say "Titanium" in the product description as there is a significant quality difference between fiberglass wraps and titanium wraps. Other than that, the wrap offers decent heat resistance. I saw a drop in about 30º before/after in hot areas around the exhaust pipes when riding. One

Pros
  • Works great. Bought it for minibike projects and it works great..
Cons
  • Price might be too high for some people

Great price! in my review

For the price! It’s a hidden gem, wrapped my turbo down pipe. Car was running for a solid 30 mins turned off, I could physically put my hand on the pipe with the covering. Pretty slick.

Pros
  • Before installing, soak the header heat wrap in water so that the fiberglass will not flying about. Wear gloves to avoid itching. Wrap it around your exhaust pipe, using overlap to hold it in place and simply use stainless ties to secure the ends in place.
Cons
  • May not work for very hot exhausts

Looks great, good value. Hard to install alone.

1. Make shure you can remove your exhaust before even thinking about wrapping, my exhaust bolts were rusted and it was $$$ at the shop to get it removed2. Get someone to hold it while wrapping, I would think it would be very hard to do it alone, especially if you have two converging headers.3. USE HOSE CLAMPS, the little metal zipties are pretty garbage, unless you are wrapping inside a cover or something it would come loose quickly4. I don't know for shure how durable it is yet so I will edit…

Pros
  • Queda muy bien , lo instale en una scrambler ninet. Con paciencia
Cons
  • May not fit all types of motorcycles

Great value for the money

Very good heat retention but when installing you have to wear gloves or you are going to get fibers in your skin no big deal but worth the money

Pros
  • Heat Wrap, Matting & Sleeving
Cons
  • Not suitable for long-term use

Wrapped that cracked exhaust manifold

This was very easy to work with and the stainless steel ties did the job. Went on the internet and watched several videos on the proper use of this wrap before attempting to use it. It is a very good idea to do this so you'll handle this properly. I wore long sleeves, gloves and wet mine thoroughly before applying it to make sure the fibers didn't go airborne. I used this to wrap the cast iron exhaust manifold on our car which had cracked in several places and didn't want to mess with possibly…

Pros
  • Protects against heat-related damage to other parts of your motorcycle's engine, including wiring and hoses
Cons
  • Could reduce fuel efficiency

Works good good for me

Works really good but soak it in water beforehand and WEAR rubber or latex gloves before handling or you’ll regret it. Can cause some discoloration.

Pros
  • Made of environmentally friendly materials
Cons
  • Can cause some discoloration

Impressed by the quality of this heat wrap!

Used this to wrap the H pipe under the passenger compartment of my MaseratiReally thick wrap, really easy to use, good packaging, even comes with gloves so you don't have to hunt for some.Highly recommend

Pros
  • Can improve the look of your motorcycle's engine
Cons
  • Might not work as expected

Too many fibers on my review.

I’ve wrapped two exhausts before using some other unknown brands and this one was different. SOOOOOO many fibers. If you use this brand do not take your gloves off! Even for a min. Spent hours trying to remove all the embedded fibers from my fingers.

Pros
  • Heat shield protects drivers and mechanics from burns and improve car And motorcycle performance.
Cons
  • Can damage some types of motorcycle paint

Meh not terrible best in my review

I used this on my truck and it was a pain in the ass the way the exhaust is hard to wrap it heat wrap itself is ok already got a burn rip one spot I can see overall product isn't terrible it's decent

Pros
  • The exhaust heat wrap tape can withstand 1800F direct/2500F radiant heat.
Cons
  • Might not adhere well to some surfaces

Better then nothing

Not to bad, order ties separate over half in the 2 boxes I ordered didn’t work had to get from parts store for lot more. May cause some rusting to the metal underneath over time.

Pros
  • Works great and looks even better
Cons
  • May cause some rusting to the metal underneath over time

A Surprisingly Great Product at a Very Reasonable Price!

This was much thicker/sturdier than I expected, and it works great--much better than I'd hoped. I wanted to use this as a temporary "fix" until I can see the mechanic, but this looks like it could work for a long time. I have nothing but praise for this product. It was easy to apply, directions were easy to follow, and is much better quality than I expected.

Pros
  • Easy to install and requires no special tools
Cons
  • Could interfere with other components

what a great product

I had a issue with my snowmobile, with the exhaust coming very close to my wiring harness and melting some of my electrical. So i wrapped the exhaust system, so it would not cause any more problems. It came with the clamps and instructions, which where easy to read and understand. I would say to those using this product to soak the wrap over night, It makes using it much easier. Great product, I want to find it in colors.

Pros
  • easy to instal.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to find

Fixed my muffler flex pipe.

The back end of my flex pipe on my 2000 Toyota Camry was completely seperated from the rest of my muffler pipe by a good 1/4 inch. Midas said they could weld me on a new flex pipe for $180. Did some figuring and studying and decided to try wrapping it with some of this stuff. Now my car is quieter than when I first bought it and cant hear the muffler no more at all and still have enough wrap leftover to wrap it again if this stuff ever fails. Its only been two weeks but so far so good. Best $20

Pros
  • Low maintenance and long-lasting
Cons
  • May not adhere properly in cold weather
