We are retired. We live in the basement of our two story house that we own with our daughter and grandson. So. And all to report that in winter it's pretty cold down at night! So this year we bought this duvet. and wow, that's exactly what we need! No more cold feet, no more bad sleep from cold! As he got older (69), my husband became very sensitive to cold. Although I'm usually too hot during the day, my feet and legs get cold when I sleep. But not anymore. I never thought how comfortable it is to have a warm bed at night, and a duvet is light and warms quickly. Other duvets use the weight of the fabric to provide warmth and become quite heavy on your body. I'm so glad we finally decided to switch to lower mode! (We don't like heaters for safety reasons, so we don't like using them at night)
