Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ Enhanced Sony Camera Flash: Godox TT685S Thinklite TTL Flash by Wan Mohd Taufik (Wan แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

I deliberately chose a model powered by AA cells. Firstly, I think itโ€™s so calmer that you donโ€™t need to have a special charger and power supply on hand. Even if pre-charged batteries are not enough, disposable batteries can be found anytime and anywhere in any more or less civilized place. Secondly, this model has an input for external power supply from a powerful PB960 battery pack, which certainly lasts almost "forever", and recharging is accelerated with it. Although in general, the rate of fire is enough. If we take some average conditions, when the work is not at full capacity, you can puff any series. Maybe I would take it with a lithium battery (for example, model 860, similar in other parameters), if built-in charging was done via USB and the battery was interchangeable with the camera. And so far I'm not ready to overpay.

Pros
  • Everything is super. The main thing - maintains professional application. Decent guide number (60m), zoom range 20-200 (and 14 with diffuser), all modes (TTL, manual, multi / strobe, front / rear curtain, fast sync, bracketing, correction), optical and radio synchronizer ( works as a slave and as a leader in 3 groups). The head rotates 360. Recharge at full power approximately 2 sec. The build quality raises no objections. TTL works correctly, does not overexpose, there are no underlights either, you can puff anywhere - the exposure will be normal (provided that there is enough power at all). The stability of the pulses is also flawless. A big plus of the Godox system as a whole is the availability of a wide selection of pulsed lights, from on-camera to studio ones, all connected by a synchronizer in any combination and in any mode to design light of almost any complexity. Well, optical synchronization is not superfluous - there will always be a couple more third-party flashes, which, according to optics, are quite normally set on fire (of course, there is already no strobe, high-speed synchronization, etc.) The ergonomics are normal, you can figure out the menu without instructions, including working with a radio synchronizer, everything is connected easily. There is an "exclusive" (according to Godox) TCM mode, when the flash first auto-detects settings via TTL, and then they can be adjusted manually.
Cons
  • Yes, in general - nothing. Yes, the autofocus backlight on the UPC does not work, but these are trifles. Yes, the shoe looks flimsy, but these are also trifles, because. thanks to Sony for this, not Godox.

Has pros: It's nice to hold in your hands, the quality starts to please with the cover, plastic, appearance. For the money this is a fairy tale. Has some cons Instructions in English and Chinese.

Has pros: Flash firing speed. Good power. Case included. Cons: Quite heavy, but like all other good flashes.
