Several reviewers have stated that the cameras use a solar panel to charge the batteries. but no. And it's okay with me. I wanted a cheap fake security camera and this is it. My review is of F Finders & Co Outdoor Fake Security Camera, a dummy CCTV system that has no solar panels. I looked online what real CCTV cameras look like and these are very realistic. They are not outdated in design (dozens of real ones differ in appearance). Can these cameras fool the pro? I do not think so! But hopefully they will be crowded out by the lay population and those young people who just want to damage property. Each camera requires two AA batteries, to get the flashing red light to work, but fake cams look just as convincing without the light. If the batteries don't drain too quickly I'm very happy with my purchase, but even if they don't I'll use the system without them. Ensure cameras are securely mounted on exterior walls where strong winds can occur and place them high enough that they cannot be reached without a ladder.
