I ordered this on the 19th August and they had run out on the 9th September for a 5lb kitten. I expected it to last longer but was surprised it lasted long enough. When wet or mixed with wet food, it keeps moving. For the first 2 weeks I mixed it with both water and wet food due to her age but feeding a 5lb cat just this won't last that long. But feeding both wet and dry is expensive. Food expands easily when water is added, so don't eat less food because when you add water, this food doesn't expand like other foods. This means if you put bread in water it will expand even more, this food will not. It's not soft, but it's not hard either. It's closer to medium softness. If it were soft, it could be crushed and broken, it's not soft so cats with dental problems or weak teeth couldn't chew it less, they would swallow it whole. You'll go through more pockets if you like pockets with zippers as I love big ones but I want them to have zippers. Also, my cat loves the food and looks more like her than eating another brand from another place. And as far as cat vomit and lint go, cats only get them if they switch to a new food incorrectly. This brand is for all types and it's true!
