Bought very cheap and also due to pandemic quarantine to spice up the home environment. I used to go to karaoke bars from time to time. My wife is more into it than I am but things seem to have changed - I've been using it more than she has. This is a lower level model. There are no tone controls on the receiver - the microphones (you have two) are colour-coded. They're not made of the best plastic, but they're perfectly adequate for the price. Here's my setup: I connected my laptop to a Sony TV via HDMI - I stream audio from the laptop to Bitrun via Bluetooth (pairing is easy - and a lady with a heavy Chinese accent says it worked - from Bietrun I got it hooked it up to a Schiit-Audio magni headphone amp 1 (original Verizon) so I can adjust the volume - then plug a pair of 1990's powered active speakers into the headphone jack (Sony SRS-150) I didn't want it hook it up to my AVR and it works great "Although the speakers are about 20 watts per channel it fills the room. I use an old tube for backing tracks. Signal reception from the mic to the receiver is excellent, very clear but I don't have a large living space The air is cool tonight, treble, bass and mic volume Each mic has it's own controls The tone controls aren't great, but good enough I've had it for a few months and I've used it 4 times? Worth it, if you want something simple and aren't into hardcore karaoke you should have a better sound system. This is good for people who just want to repeat a few tunes from time to time. Thank you for reading.
