On a Chevy 5.3L this is a must.

As some others have said and used the fuel line hose. I made a 3/8" gas hose. I installed it on a Chevy Tahoe '07 5.3L. Installed with redesigned rocker cover, new throttle body (that gave us an emergency check of the engine), cleaned intake manifold (oil) and a new intake manifold gasket (thick metal version) and had no problems in 2 weeks/500 miles when collecting oil, not so many now with a new valve cover.
