I soldered a lot and needed one for soldering "off the machine". About half of my work is related to cars, so my desktop vacuum unit just doesn't work. The size of this device seems spot on as it pulls all pairs when placed correctly. In some cases it couldn't be placed in the best spots, but it still cleaned the air well. He clearly has more than enough traction. The unit comes with a bag of spare filters which should probably keep me using it for as long as I need it. Leaflet and a registration card that extends your warranty for another year. Nice gesture. The case is plastic and bright yellow in my case. Also available in bright blue and black. Just thought a light color on the bench would be nice and spice things up a bit. Replacing the filter is easy. Just insert a coin and twist it in the slot and the door will open. A 50,000 hour lifespan means this will be the last I'll ever need. There's only one thing I wish was wirelessly rechargeable. The cable sometimes gets in the way when I use it in a car, but I can work around it. For general use in fume extraction this is fine.
