I bought it because it seemed high quality and it is.

no. Thick metal and buried pretty well in the ground. The leash provided is not the longest but perfect for my small yard and the leash itself is thick and can be attached at either end. The rest is a plus. I appreciate the included metal pole for leverage when digging into the ground.
