This fan is great. I installed it in my two car garage. I added some 2x6s in the attic between the trusses and bought screws to attach the base. As mentioned, some of the moldings aren't perfect, but when they're on the ceiling, they're not visible. Once upstairs I bought a 3 foot ceiling fan and attached the included fan pull handle. The fan rotates side to side and up and down by hand. I attached the included tether to a 2x6 in the attic by an eyebolt. This fan isn't going anywhere, even at full speed. It easily aerates the garage on low to medium settings and cools it down a bit. I am very impressed with the overall build quality and would buy it again or recommend it anytime. Something to note: 4 latch bolts and washers were not included, plus an extra cord to turn on the ceiling fan. Also, buy an eyebolt if you're using a safety wire. Travel is around 6 inches, which is way too low for my ceiling height. No defects, just grab the material from your local hardware store before installation.
