Use these bulbs with a satellite light in your living room and they'll look great. I chose LEDs instead of Edison bulbs because I'd rather not change them as often with 18 bulbs. Or with so much electricity. These lamps are also of low enough light output to be used in such a crowd, but they are by no means weak. I did not notice any flickering or humming, which can occur with LED lamps from other manufacturers. The light is pleasant, if perhaps not as warm as the advertised 2700K.
