I bought two of these locks for both of my suitcases. I use one of these almost every day when I go to the gym. Never had a problem with it (after 14 months). The disadvantage of this castle is that it doesn't look massive. I think a bolt cutter or other tool strong enough will snap it in a second. However, I choose the deterrent factor. My bags are not easy to steal with these locks. They are easy to open. I wish it was easier to spin sometimes (mostly for gym lockers), but it's no big deal. Small and light, so I often have them in my backpack. Another downside is that they are TSA compliant which is why I bought them. I've never met a TSA agent with a master key. Every time they stop me they ask me to open the locks. I've often asked why the agents can't open the suitcase as the lock is TSA compliant, but I've always gotten the answer that the key is somewhere else and I should open the suitcase myself (if they want to waste my time, they can at least be ready). I bought these locks partly for compliance reasons, which worries me a little. I could get a stronger lock. I never realized my suitcase was open and I wouldn't be surprised if one day the agents cut the locks because the infamous master key is nowhere to be found. Still, it's a good product and it's easy to install the code. UPDATE: 2.5 years later I lost my lock. I left it unlocked after pulling something out at the airport and it fell off somewhere. I was SUPER upset. I know I hesitated in my review because of the TSA. However, the product is excellent. I like the sense of security of leaving my bag on the sidewalk, checking in (very rare), or leaving it at the hotel (in the room or at the front desk while I explore the area after checking out). I bought another lock before even unpacking it.
