Great idea fails on execution

I liked the idea of these LED projectors as Christmas decorations that could be used as night lights to ensure safe passage through dark corridors during midnight drives in Fridge but they weren't enough. almost literally. The distance that the projection "throws" is very short. maybe 10-12 feet. This is good if you want to switch from a floor socket to a regular ceiling. But if you want to project onto a wall, you should have a narrow room or hallway. The electrical prongs are permanently mounted, which means if your sockets look like = and not all of them, you'll need an adapter. Aside from that, The projector is so close to the wall that any small obstacle cuts out a large portion of the projected image. We tried plugging in a counter-level outlet to project light onto the kitchen ceiling (fridge lights), but the cabinets got in the way. Eventually, the projector's "ball" is rotated, but the image remains fixed. So when you finally find the PERFECT spot that takes up all the other previously installed obstacles, the picture can be turned on its head. Sent it back, totally disappointed. When you find the PERFECT spot that accommodates all the other previously installed clutter, the picture may be on its head. Sent it back, totally disappointed. When you find the PERFECT spot that will take up all the other previously installed clutter, the picture may be upside down. Sent it back, totally disappointed.

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
