Review on πŸ¦’ Vulli Sophie Giraffe Bath Toy: Dazzling Variety of Colorful Options! by Andrea Sciuto

Revainrating 5 out of 5

GREAT for what is being sold as a BAD toy.

There are many negative reviews about this toy based on the fact that it may not be made from natural rubber and therefore may not be safe for babies to chew so I was forced to think to share your experiences. I understand that children (particularly teething children) tend to put EVERYTHING in their mouths and I understand wanting to make sure the toys they chew on are made from safe materials. However, since my son only gets to know this toy while bathing and only under adult supervision, this did not bother me as I could not find any evidence that the toy was made of anything harmful. This actually turned out to be a moot point because although my son is 7 months old and chews on everything, for some reason he doesn't like chewing on this toy (yes I tried when he was playing with it). admits that this toy has some flaws: if you want it to float gently in the tub, it doesn't (unless it's partially filled with water). This is not for teething and it is not easy for very young children to inject on their own. That being said, I still think it's a fantastic toy! So why do I think this toy deserves a 5 star rating for all its flaws? ? Because it is definitely the toy we play with the most when bathing. I love filling it up with water and splashing it on my son and he always squeaks with a giggle and tries to grab it and dunk it under the water (he has the best spray range of any bath toy we have). If it's on the other side of the tub, that's the toy he reaches for and that's the one I play with when he's distracted. I believe that the purpose of a toy is not only to provide the child with something to talk to while bathing, but also to provide a fun toy that parents and child can enjoy playing together. And it works. And for those who say it's "hard to squirt" - no, if you know how! Simply grab the colored part of the toy (easiest way to do this is to place the toy between your index and middle fingers) and press (with your thumb) on Sophie's feet. It is well designed as such! Hope this review helps you :)
