Review on ๐Ÿ’ก GE 34289 LED Under Cabinet Fixture: High Lumens, Versatile Light Color Selection, Dimmer Compatible, Steel Housing โ€“ 24 Inch, White by Justin Heynoski

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A high CRI is significantly better than a normal or low CRI. Dazzle if set above eye level.

The 18" model is VERY bright, especially compared to the replaced F13T5ww fluorescent tube which was said to be around 700 lumens. I can tell a difference in color temperatures and like all three. I installed it in my shop. Area at the bottom of the tall cabinet. The fixture is about 6'10" tall and illuminates my desk very well. A high CRI is fantastic and actually a bit stunning after the very low CRI I've used. The only downside is the glare. That means light and glare under the cabinet aren't a problem when mounted below eye level.Mounted high like me it worries me a bit so I made a screen out of the box it came in (2 sides of the box showing the short side tucked in between the bracket and the case to keep it in place) and it does it perfectly.I will paint the sign or do something better in the future but so far everything is working great. And the light is GREAT if You missed that part I will definitely be ordering more of these high CRI lights The installation instructions don't mention how to use the wire connectors I <think> there ss the wires to be installed should be stripped to about 1/8 inch (I think the marking on the back was a stripping guide). I did this and the wires passed the pull test. Follow up: 5 more stars as of December 2018 The light is still bright and gives a very even spread of light on and off my bench. I no longer perceive glare, even without a screen.
