It's CHEAP so I bought it. Are you thinking "how different can clothespins be?" Well I have a clothespin bag from my grandparents with original clothespins and compared to 60 year old clothespins they are nothing, they are completely useless. I had a few tears on the "grip grooves" and about 5 came apart when I took them out of the box due to misaligned spring wire meaning they would never stay together. If, after hanging it on a clothesline, you spread your legs, even the smallest fly will be torn to pieces, and you'll be lucky to find a spring in the grass wherever it lands. I don't know what an alternative to cheap clothespins is. . I've only found one clothespin that's made in the USA and they cost $4 each. Maybe I'll try ebay and buy someone's grandparents' clothespins.
