I bought this hair dryer because due to Covid-19 I had to wash and style my hair instead of going to the salon. I wanted something reliable and economical. I was almost discouraged by some of the comments in the reviews. But I made the purchase, and I'm grateful I did. Apparently the manufacturer took some of your concerns into account and made improvements. One comment was that the dryer was noisy. The box now says a new quieter design. I don't have the old design to compare. But since it is a wearable device. Not much louder than the dryer in salons. Yes, the tube isn't long, but it allowed me to sit and do whatever I wanted. One review said it didn't have a cool setting, but now it does. Cool, low, medium and high. There was some comment about the hose detaching from the hood. One reviewer noted that you have to twist it until it clicks, but the instructions didn't say so. This is now part of the instructions. My hair is long and thick.
