Very easy to assemble and sturdy!
These garment racks were very easy to assemble, but you may want to make sure you have 2 people to do the job as it was quite large (which was great and exactly what we needed!). Once together, the item is sturdy and easily held a great deal of heavy clothes including winter wool coats and such - and yet, was relatively easy to move around. If you need temporary storage or want to use this as a closet system in a large walk-in closet, it really is a fantastic option. 5 Stars!
