Yes, it can be worn on an adult's head.
When I saw this ad I was wondering and what I was hoping for. This is meant for kids but I wanted to wear it on New Year's Eve. Ears like an adult headband. But he stayed in place and looked great! The ears are a good size too. At least 6 inches high. I have red ones and the red is a nice bright red. The ears are moveable as is the headband to give you a good fit. If you have a particularly large head, I'm not sure they'll stay, but I'm not sure. You are pretty safe for me.
