I have a lot of "wireless" IP cameras, but they still need power. While it's certainly easier to start power than to get an Ethernet connection, there are still places where that's not possible, or at least unattractive. The fence on my property is one of those places. While this is a great spot for a camera because it can watch my house from the outside, the length of the fence makes it almost difficult to power it. I can also remotely move the camera to view the yard with the pan and tilt option. I decided to try these because I have other electronic cameras that have worked well in the past. This is a solid and well built machine. Before putting the batteries in, I charged them with a standard 2 amp USB charger. While the camera was on, the initial charge took almost a full day. I also put a 16GB SD card in the camera which I formatted. The program was easy to install on my Android phone and the Wi-Fi option made it easy to set up. It's also easy to set up notifications.
