does not last long for aquarium heater
The only reason to try this heater is if you want to find one in a pan. It's small which is why I bought it. When it failed just under warranty I used an ordinary glass tube that was in the overflow. Has worked without problems for many years. I use a separate thermostat to control the temperature and if it fails the heater thermostat is a spare. If you are a reef caretaker, don't rely on cheap heating thermostats.
