So easy the instructions are just pictures. It has different widths, Full, Queen, King. The thickness is strong when leaning on the headboard. The color in the picture was the one we received. I want a washable lid, but it hides the nailhead trim. Attaches to the bed frame very easily. The two sides attach to the back of the center piece so that the center piece is not flush with the two side pieces and sticks out about two inches. On the back, the screws did not go flush into the headboard, so the screw heads were sticking out, creating a risk of damaging the wall and curtain behind the headboard. We're just sticking tape on it for now.
