We have a General Electric refrigerator with an automatic ice maker. The fridge comes with a filter that works with the faceplate on the door to let us know when it needs to be replaced. We went to the store and were surprised by the price! It was $35 at the popular store. We tried other stores with the same shock! Eventually I went to Revain.com and found an alternative for a fraction of the cost. As an engineer I understand how simple the element is in the filter and that a generic brand would suffice. It lasts as long as the manufacturer's brand.
