You can do that! good for transmission and transmission

1998 Civic EX. Axis passenger side. changed every 40 minutes. Supplied with C-clamp and new axle nut. I was very happy with the product. (Make sure you have the manual so you can tighten the correct settings) Steps: 1) Remove the tire (leave the tire on the driver's side in contact with the ground if you don't have a heavy-duty impact wrench). 2) Loosen the axle nut (had to use a gas card to loosen it, 32mm) 3) Remove the cross arm yoke bolts from the strut. (2 bolts, one for 17mm, I can't think of the other) 4) Remove bracket from brake line (12mm) 5) Remove upper ball joint nut and tap out with nut to protect thread (17mm) 6) Tap axle off the hub by pulling the knuckle down and back. 7) Pry off the side of the gearbox with a large flat head screwdriver or pry bar. a) Do not apply too much force to avoid damaging the gear case. b) It is best to use a small nudge/jerk rather than constant force on the axle shaft and move it back and forth 9) Take a new axle and put some grease on it to fix the center of the clamp on the axle 10) Same compressive force to put the axle back on 11) Assemble everything by tightening the correct numbers 12) IMPORTANT, use a jack to compress the shock before finally tightening the fork with the cross arm on the lower arm. a) This will ensure that you don't twist the socket and disable it later. 13) Don't forget to nail the axle nut to the axle in the notch. This will prevent the nut from loosening. 14) Call your local retailer and tell them how much money you saved. :-)
