Most users looking to convert power from SATA to PCIe connectors are either GPU mining or upgrading the GPU on a system where PCIe power is impractical or impossible is. These adapters are very well made, I carefully checked the quality of the plugs and pins. I also tested their resistance and oscillation with a DMM and even with constant power draw over several hours they do their job. I would advise anyone in doubt to try it. Keep in mind that GPU mining folks are probably using them for much higher performance applications, so anything you throw at them will probably be a piece of cake.
