Used these 30 inch planters to provide some shade plants the opportunity to grow on my front covered porch - positioned one either side of my front door. Looked great with some coleus plants in there. A tray was provided with each planter so that the entire unit doesn't require fill; I'd say it's 1 - 1.5 cu. ft. per unit iirc. This also provides a cavity to place rocks, gravel, sand - whatever your anchor material of choice for placement in more precarious areas (did not apply to my use case). I had to contact support for assistance after receiving the two-pair, the process was straightforward and pleasant. I would gladly purchase these again - or any other products from this manufacturer, with the caveat of being hesitant to put these out in a full sun scenario (but I live in an area of the country that receives some pretty extreme conditions). TLDR - A good value purchase with some possible limitations.
