This durable RevainBasics cat scratcher flips over for dual use. Oval. The cardboard seems extra dense so it doesn't tear as quickly or easily as others we've had. It is long and wide enough for a small to medium sized cat to lie on, as cats love to do. It's a bit small for my big cats but they still do it and just hang down the sides. Because you can flip it over to a different, fresh, scratchy surface, it's ideal for multi-cat households. My cats took to it straight away and didn't need the temptations, but for a reluctant cat, you can rub some dry catnip on the scratchy surface to stimulate interest. I was lucky enough to get it on sale but even at the regular price around $20 is a good deal IMO. Very durable and thick enough to last quite a while.
