This choker is designed for heavy use. I would have really preferred a little less, but that is at the expense of the higher material costs. The chains are strong enough for whatever you want. I wish the chain and clips could be detached from the collar, I used pliers to pry open one of the links and did just that. My girlfriend loves wearing the collar but it's a bit heavy and too flashy for her to wear to work. The clips are pretty good, there is good tension control and there is no sticky rubber to peel off the skin like other clips. The only thing about the clamps is that the screw on one of mine is sometimes a bit stiff. I hope it becomes clearer with time.
