Review on Renewed HyperX Cloud Flight S Wireless Gaming Headset with Detachable Microphone - PC and PS4 Compatible by Steve Quinn

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Sounds good, good range, good battery, decent headset

I looked through several headsets before settling on this one. My big stipulations were a good battery life of at least 12 hours on a single charge that blew this away, good sound that makes beautiful and a signal strength that allows me to walk around the house without fuzzing or unplugging. This ticks all the boxes. I've been told the mic sounds good, although I'm not a big fan of detachable mics and would have preferred it to swivel. Wireless charging is good, I charge it at night and pick it up in the morning. There's no noise cancellation, which works for me, but the soundproofing is quite good. A few things that repelled the star: - I feel like my head size is on the edge of comfort. So if you consider yourself a 'big' head, it's likely to cause compression discomfort. 7.1 surround sound has a very muffled sound. I haven't used it with 7.1 optimized audio tracks, that might be an issue, but it's basically like a trick for a list item. The nGenuity software is beta and not very reliable, but has some nice features that made the headset even more useful for me, although it can't even be minimized to the system tray and needs to be present in the launcher as an active program in order to work. - The battery gets warm during charging. Not dangerously hot, but noticeably hot, which HyperX says is normal.
