This is the solution I was looking for. I have three narrow cabinets, each with standard old acorn jigs. They hang 10 inches below the ceiling, rendering the top shelf useless or at least of limited use. I wanted a simple solution without removing the existing junction box and installing an upgraded glass. This light is perfect if you are replacing a junction box light as it makes a great replacement for an old light. Turn off the power at the fuse box, remove the old light and replace with a light disc. Same connection as the previous light and mounting on the same hardware as the old light. The whole process only took 30 minutes and now we have a hidden mount, 5000k LED, super clear light. And access to the top shelf of the closet. The instructions are clear and have pictures to help with proper connection. He seems well built and strong. The lens covering the LEDs is removed by turning counterclockwise. I wish I could say it's easy, but it's not, there's no good way to apply enough force to rotate the lens, but keep trying and it will eventually come loose. Putting on the lens is a bit easier, but it's made to pretty strict standards. Nice bright white light, easy installation and reasonable price. I'll buy two more. The item comes with all the necessary small parts and comes in double packaging.
