Big but not crunchy suits me
My laptop has a 4K display and there is a noticeable difference in resolution between the monitor and the laptop screens. I do some sketches/3D models for work and the extra resolution is really important. I thought all monitors would be 4K by default, just like laptops. For casual work, gaming, or watching 1080p video, 1080p should be enough, but it's not the best monitor for drawing.
