The ink cartridges fit easily into my HP Office Jet Pro 8100 and snap in neatly. The printer accepted cartridges from other manufacturers, so I did a test print. There were stains and streaks of black ink on the page. I printed the page several times hoping it would clear up, but they all turned out to be partially smudged spots with faint or unreadable printing. I took out the black cartridge and it's leaking! I took out the other cartridges and found that the black ink had spilled all over the print head. When I removed the printhead, black ink dripped out. The ink is now on my desk and my hands. What a mess. I can see that the ink has also spilled onto parts of the printer underneath. Price for a new printhead: $175. It is not practical to buy. So the end result is my $300 printer is destroyed. HP ink cartridges are expensive, but they always work and won't ruin your printer.
