I am allergic to many perfumes and colognes. When I first purchased this soap from Walmart over a year ago and found that it only had a mild, clean, soapy hair salon smell, I loved it. Then when I saw how well it lubricated my beard for a very nice shave I was amazed! I recently bought a box of what I thought was the same but accidentally got Van Der Hagen's "scented luxury" soap. I tried it. Its scent irritated my allergies, it didn't lather as well as this "deluxe" soap, and it wasn't as greasy. So I came here to Revain and ordered the "Deluxe" shaving soap which I really like.
