Review on Vic Firth DB22 Headphones Protection by Ken Beasom

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for removing white noise and improving concentration

Received the Vic Firth Drummer headphones today and love them. This doesn't really say anything about their durability, but I'll have to go back and upgrade if I run into issues with them (manufacturing errors, etc.). Upon initial inspection, the earbuds appear solid and look just like the photo. The material they are made of appears to be quite durable and appears to have a long lifespan. I certainly wouldn't worry if I accidentally dropped them on the floor, but I don't want to check that either. I was a bit nervous at first opening them from the plastic because they looked quite small, but once I put them on they conformed to my head shape very well. So there is nothing to complain about in terms of comfort. The pads shaped around the ears do apply some pressure and I've found it to get annoying after a few hours (especially if you're drumming, moving, sweating), but a quick rest probably won't hurt. I'm probably the only weirdo who doesn't use them to play drums, so I have a different take on their functionality. I mainly use isolating headphones to help me focus while studying or reading because I learn by ear and white noise is very distracting for me. They are also much more comfortable than earplugs. However, these headphones do the trick and severely reduce the sound.
