Ideal for orchestra rehearsals or the shooting range!

I used these when I played in my band, we could have a 100 watt amp at 7 volume, the drums played metal (meaning played loud) and it didn't bother my ears. They fit well. I also use them when shooting guns and they work great. also good price. They will definitely save your hearing.

The metal bars break and bend easily, but the soundproofing works

Protects my ears during class. In fact, my drum sounds better when I remove this "ring" and makes your acoustic drum kit sound like an electric drum kit. What made me give it 3/5 stars was how often the metal bars came off the earbuds. It actually scratched me quite a bit when I took it off my head and left a scar. They flex which makes the headphones feel a bit inferior/cheap overall. The price is good but if I wanted to buy again I would spend a little more for a higher quality material. Hope

Ok, but there are better options

I bought these as an alternative to my regular Etymotic earplugs as these earplugs, while great, have caused various ear problems over time. Functionally, these guys do a fantastic job turning down the volume without sacrificing the overall sound quality too much. However, I have to be very careful when putting it on - the left auricle tends to slip off when I take it off. (Let me tell you, sticking a pointy wire bandage in your temple isn't much fun.) I have no idea if that's common or if I'm…

    • Absolutely amazing!

    • Not bad but...

I've never liked wearing earplugs because I can't hear what I hear.

I teach drums as part of my private lessons. I've never liked using earplugs because I don't hear what I need to hear to study. There's a price to pay for that, so for at least a week after training at camp I always had a ringing and boxing effect in my ear. I bought the VF headphones last week and tried them out at my band's gig and am very happy with them. I can't use them as I teach students, but when they join the group indoors for a full ensemble and the decibels are above the pain…

Great for removing white noise and improving concentration

Received the Vic Firth Drummer headphones today and love them. This doesn't really say anything about their durability, but I'll have to go back and upgrade if I run into issues with them (manufacturing errors, etc.). Upon initial inspection, the earbuds appear solid and look just like the photo. The material they are made of appears to be quite durable and appears to have a long lifespan. I certainly wouldn't worry if I accidentally dropped them on the floor, but I don't want to check that…

    Pros
    • Perfect for outdoor activities
