Review on 📸 Official GoPro Accessory: Protective Lens Replacement for GoPro HERO7 Black Camera by Dennis Wood

I bought this to replace my FIRST lens when both the lens cap and the FULL LENS were shattered when I dropped it from a tractor (suction cup mount). YOU CAN REPLACE the inner lens, there is a photo repair company that sells used lenses you can buy for $30. It hurts to change as you risk breaking it if you try to screw it all the way in (another story). Either way, replacing those "caps" of the lens is a HUGE pain! It's easier to start than removing the old one. . . hence the lower rating. BUT, the big ticket point is here. . . . . . . . . it holds NOTHING! In fact, I wondered if it was GLASS at all! I installed it next to a piece of equipment I was working on and cut out studs with a cutting wheel (nothing new, have been doing this with my Sony all along). I was maybe 18 inches off it (again, nothing new) but when I lifted it up the lens looked like swiss cheese and there were metal splinters in the glass! Remember this was ONLY in the glass NOT anywhere else on the plastic case. I've tried everything, including the polishing paste, but to no avail. The lens was shot through. So yes, 3 stars. It should NOT be like that. So I order a DIFFERENT lens cap. But this time a cover on my cover!
