For months I've been trying to figure out why the alternator hum reaches my speakers for the first 2-6 minutes after turning on and then disappears. - Hm. Tried to connect only the left channel - hum. Only the right channel - buzz. The earth grounded - hum. Up and down pots scored - buzz. Added noise isolator RCA-RCA - reduced power, reduced rumble. I almost gave up thinking I had a bad amp or alternator. Finally, I tried to buy another LLC brand (I chose Scosche) and the problem was 100% solved IMMEDIATELY. Much cleaner sound. The device I received may have been a defective device, but it was annoying enough to make me drop the whole Kicker brand.
