Excellent product, very well made! Now I have a small apartment in the basement and this kotatsu table is the perfect place to work, study or just keep warm! This is a great place to solve puzzles or grab a bite to eat with a friend. The wood and hardware sells incredibly (I appreciate the thick metal hinges and latches that allow the unit to fold - no risk of that thing slipping off!) and the heater is very warm, but not warm enough for you to I highly recommend bringing an Azumaya Kotatsu Blanket (rectangular shape), our brown one and so cozy! It is also NOT recommended to buy this product without a voltage converter - the company recommends one of the VCTs. , 1000W version. I KNOW it sounds like a lot, but trust me they have a good reason. It is unsafe to use anything with a heating element (such as a heater, toaster, rice cooker, or hair dryer) without a converter that is at least three times the power of the heating element. This table has a 100 volt / 300 watt heater block, so 1000 watts IS the reasonable and safe power rating for the converter. If you plan to buy other Japanese heater products, you should take this into account when making your selection to ensure you are buying a high enough wattage converter for whatever you will be using it for! . I suspect it will remain my main coffee table even if I eventually move to a larger room to house a larger, unsightly product. I am grateful for this wonderful experience!
