Bought to replace the super free fan that came with the inverter I recently bought. Installs it with a universal quick wiring adapter. The inverter uses an all-on/all-off fan controller (digital on/off, like a thermostat) and the old fan bearings failed, dragged and overheated within a month of use. Noctua was the first thing I thought of. This is junk! It moves less than half the volume of air as the original (still in my second inverter running alongside). It's quiet, but that doesn't matter unless it's moving a lot of air. Do you really feel misled by the specs saying so much about RPM, RPM, RPM - but RPM doesn't directly stand for CFM. CFM is not displayed. There is no indication of how much air is shown. I just assumed that since it has 'Low Noise' and 'Ultra Low Noise' adapters it would be good for various applications and my need for strong airflow would be satisfied here. no They just blow a whisper at full voltage, and there's nothing you can do about it. I return a second one and find something different - although I was dying to have Noctua and trusted the brand to provide adequate airflow. no such luck.
