Review on Synovi G3 Soft Chews: A Comprehensive 120-count Glucosamine Joint Supplement for Dogs by Brenda Hofheins

My vet recommended this product for my 10 year old Cocker Spaniel. My dog has been taking it for about 2 months now. He seems to like the taste but I'm not sure if the supplements are really good for my dog. He has returned to normal (due to lameness) but he has had a number of other vet appointments as well so it is difficult to say what the reason for this recovery is. The 4 stars I am giving are based on the Revain price for this item. I've learned in the past that the things my vet recommends are often much cheaper online than at his office, and when he recommended this product (priced at $50), I decided to look online first. I'm glad I did because Revane was almost half the price. I later told my vet he was on the product and told him it was a lot more expensive than Revain then I quoted him the price and he couldn't believe it. He claimed to pay more for it and then told his assistant. I'm not sure if they didn't believe me, but I didn't care. Going forward, I will always decline recommendations from my vets until I can review the products on Revain (and its affiliates) for the first time. I also let the vet know I was doing this so he knew he was losing my business because of his prices, hopefully that would make him more competitive.
