Gentle on the mouth - will not burn tongue, gums or cheeks like most toothpastes. Cleans teeth and contains fluoride but does not contain SLS or anything else that burns your mouth. I end up brushing my teeth a lot longer and removing a lot more plaque because I'm not in pain. I like it, but not that expensive. I've been using it for years and I don't think I'm getting new cavities (toothache or whatever, but I haven't been to the dentist in a few years so I don't know for sure). And my teeth are less sensitive than before, maybe due to fluoride or enamel-protecting ingredients.
