Review on Tayogo 8GB Waterproof MP3 Player with IPX8 Swimming Waterproof Headphones for 6-8 Hours Underwater 3 Meters - Yellow (Includes Shuffle Feature) by Wayne Girard

Great for swim tunes

I recently started swimming as a workout. I always listened to music while exercising and was frustrated that I had to leave my regular headphones in my gym bag while exercising in the pool. This MP3 player solves this problem. At first I thought waterproof Bluetooth headphones would be the best choice for me, but it turns out that Bluetooth doesn't transmit well underwater. I tried this MP3 player and I am very happy with it. Sound quality in water isn't as good as high-end non-waterproof headphones, but still pretty good - surprising considering the MP3 player slides out of the back of the headband and then into a USB port for download is connected. To load it with music, one simply had to drag and drop the desired songs onto the MP3 player icon. I swim 45-60 minutes a day, 5-6 days a week and haven't recharged for 2-3 weeks. I've never run out of battery so I don't know how many hours you can play with it before it needs a recharge. I have a pretty big head but it's comfortable. It doesn't interfere with my goggle straps and is easy to use when wearing, as the volume, pause/play, and rewind/forward buttons are all intuitively located. The earphones get a little warm in the ears when in use, but this is not uncomfortable. The cord from the headband to the headphones seems a little fragile, so I try never to pull the headband off my head by the cords or pull the headphones out of my ears by the cords. I know others looking at this have found these wires to be a point of failure. I will update this review if this ever becomes a problem for me.
