This is way better than using the JBL Extreme 2's long strap to move the device from room to room, house to garage, etc. Also, you don't have to move the inverted long strap all the time. to the side when the area on which it is standing becomes unclear. The latches seem strong enough and should last the life of the button, which I assume will be the life of the speaker. I like that the handle has some "beef". Feels good in hand. I have a hard case that I keep the speaker in when not in use, and although I have to detach it to put it in the case, it's small enough to fit in the side compartment along with the charger. Very satisfied so far!
