I used the LAPCOS hair mask on my thick, curly, 50% gray natural hair. He has not been dyed or chemically treated in over two years and is healthy. Maybe that's why I didn't see any significant improvement in my hair when using this product? I don't think that's why my scalp started to burn after using it. I washed my hair and treated it with the usual products. I then lightly dried my hair with a towel and put it in a cap covered with hair care product. I took a warm towel, wrapped the hair mask cap and head in it, waited 15 minutes and rinsed my hair. My scalp started burning after about 10 minutes of using this product and luckily it went away after rinsing it off. The smell of the product is very mild and pleasant. The consistency is like runny jelly and I moved the cap to distribute the product after putting my hair in the cap. The tape that sticks to the lid was a bit fiddly to apply, but overall it was easy to apply. I think the cap is large and can accommodate most thick hair up to mid-back. I don't think I would buy it again but it might be great for some. My hair feels smooth and silky after using this product and while I cannot comment on the restorative properties of the product, the method of delivery for deep conditioning is good. I think some may experience skin or scalp irritation if left on for a long time.
