The hole is very small.
Amber provides excellent protection against UV rays. The orifice is only about 5/16 inches and the atomizer seems pretty flimsy, but it puts out a very fine mist which is fine for my use. I use these for topical 24ppm colloidal silver. I was disappointed by the narrow opening so 4 stars.
