LATEX: This product fitted a tube with a regular Alex Plus latex seal after two days, pulled out easily without tools and the seal still flowed freely. A: I tried sticking one of these caps in 100% silicone sealant after 1 week and it may have even sealed too well. I struggled to get the cap off without breaking it, eventually the yellow rubberized cap slipped out of the plastic hole so I had to snap it with pliers to get it off the tube. This is time consuming and I'm not sure I can reuse this lid. Summary: This product works well with latex sealants, but silicone ends up being a problem. You should just get a different phone for the money.
