I've used this stone to make pizza a couple of times. I also plan to use it for bread. Looks very durable and high quality. The pizza bases are crispy and delicious. I followed the instructions the first time I used it and I never had a smell like the others. I even asked my wife for her opinion because she seems to have a crazy sense of smell and she didn't notice anything. The biggest problem I have is coloring after one use. And it keeps getting worse every time I use it. I don't know if it's me and how to use it or not? I use olive oil in my pizza crusts and feel like it contributed to the coloring. You can't scrape stains and it can't be washed because it's a brick, so I'm just living with stains. It sucks because I don't have much space and so it lives on my counter when not in use and looks awful.
