Review on πŸƒ Garmin Forerunner 50 Sports Watch: Heart Rate Monitor & USB ANT Stick Included by Brendan Thorpe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for running Good for sports and wearable GPS

I already have a Forerunner 305 watch and I like it aside from the size of the watch when running. I was considering buying a new 405, but since I already had a pedometer and really enjoyed the 305's larger unit (read as "big screen") while cycling, I decided to upgrade my current system with a Garmin add sensor. 50. The 305's GPS capability is good, but while I prefer to explore on a road bike, I also tend to hit the same trails over and over again when running, so the GPS capabilities aren't really needed. The Garmin 50 is very light and perfect for running. Garmin Connect (online training recordings) and Garmin Training Center are automatically updated via the ANT stick so that they are always in sync. The display is small and only shows two pieces of information at a time, e.g. B. heart rate and distance or distance and pace, but I find that's all I usually need and I can review the rest of the information at the end of a workout. I tested the pedometer readings against known distance and GPS 305 readings and they worked right out of the box and didn't require calibration. turned off and cannot be fixed according to Garmin. However, the date on the time display is correct, so they are still as accurate as a watch, and the date is correct when you upload a workout to the Garmin Learning Center. I'm sure they'll fix this bug in the future, but it's a minor annoyance. This is a great unit.
