This is exactly what I wanted. I will probably buy more. The pencil holder has a flap to protect the tips. I know how to sew them, but it's actually cheaper than buying canvas, elastic, and braid. First class haircut. As mentioned above, the fabric smell is due to the solvent used and therefore comes from the screw. It is not prewashed. Shrinks in the wash. Maybe I'll dampen a washcloth and throw it in the dryer with the fabric softener. That's not a deal breaker for me. I recommend this item for its practicality, construction and price.
- Straight and compact seams, separate elastic loops to better hold pens and prevent slipping. Tab at the end of the packaging to protect the pen tip.
