Perfect for almost everything! would recommend. Read review!

Bought to help with small things like examining coins, working with clocks, etc. The LEDs are very bright! They are awesome because they really illuminate what you see. Also, they seem to aim right at the center of the lens you're using! This is great because the light is concentrated in one place and not scattered. Ideal for viewing a specific detail. I read some reviews saying 60x is useless. I totally disagree. First, you use it almost like a monocle when you hold the subject close to your eye. Each magnifier has a "gold dot" where you can see the best magnification. This requires you to be within a certain distance of the object you want to explore. This is the focus. At 30x, it's great for 99% of things. The focal point is large enough so you don't have to hold your subject too close. If you want more power, 60x is great, but requires you to have a steady hand and the subject is close to you. Yes, the focus is tight, but it's worth the effort - you'll see! If you wear glasses this can be a problem. If you are farsighted, this can also cause problems. If you see normally or even corrected with contact lenses, you shouldn't have any problems. FYI: You will encounter this problem with any small portable enlarger. So I personally wouldn't blame this device. This 60x worked great for me. When used correctly you will see fantastic detail and you will not regret this purchase! In addition, the device is small. Some reviewers are not happy with this. But then again, you don't want to be holding a big device when you're trying to learn something small - do you? This is NOT your grandma's giant magnifying glass! The magnifying glass also looks very well built, with metal and a few plastic parts, but certainly solid. I can't believe how cheap this is. Do yourself a favor and have this. Totally worth every penny. So glad I bought it.
